Laser Hymenoplasty
Laser devices have started being widely used in medicine as a result of the rapid development of technology. With the new generation devices we use, laser hymenoplasty can now be performed faster, it causes less complications, and allows for faster postoperative healing and, in direct proportion to this, higher patient satisfaction. Now, with the use of laser, we can perform temporary hymen repair in conjunction with vaginal tightening. Normally, vaginal tightening in combination with temporary hymen repair is not possible because the sutures cannot dissolve in a short time, so they can be noticed during intercourse and cause excessive bleeding. However, with the help of the new generation laser device, we can now tighten the vagina in such a short time of 20 minutes without incisions or sutures. This innovation allows for temporary hymen surgery to be performed in combination with the vaginal tightening procedure in the same session.
Advantages of Laser Hymenoplasty
The most important advantage of using laser in hymen repair is that it reduces bleeding, while accelerating healing, and provides a tightening effect throughout the entire vaginal canal without causing side effects such as bleeding, pain, etc. With laser, we can now perform temporary hymen repair together with the vaginal tightening procedure.
Laser Hymenoplasty
During the permanent hymen repair, a piece we call a flap is taken from the vaginal wall, and a new hymen is reconstructed with this flap. If necessary, we use the double-layer flap method, depending on the structure of the vagina and hymen. During flap preparation, the laser device makes it highly convenient to take the tissue called flap from the vaginal wall, does not require sutures due to unnecessary bleeding, and prevents disruption of blood supply. In this way, the recovery process is accelerated, postoperative complaints are reduced, and the success rate is increased.
Other Gynecological Procedures Performed with Laser
In addition to hymenoplasty (virginity restoration surgery), the new generation laser techniques enable us to perform many procedures such as treating urinary incontinence, genital lightening (also known as genital whitening or genital bleaching), reducing the labia minora with the procedure called labiaplasty, and successfully treating gynecological disorders including warts, cervical ulcers (cervical erosion) with higher success rates compared to other treatment procedures, without causing side effects.
